Djembe Drumming
for Beginners
Participants learn skills to create joyous rhythms on djembe drums that are grounded in an oral tradition as taught by the seminal African musician, Dr. Babatunde Olatunji.
For eighteen years, Bob served as a faculty assistant to Olatunji for his “Language of the Drums” courses at The Omega Institute, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and Rowe Conference Center.
He drummed and sang as a performance member of Olatunji’s legendary troupe “Drums of Passion” at venues including Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Jorgensen Hall, and The Washington Monument.
